Five #HLMBB Student-Athletes and Oakland’s Greg Kampe Earn NABC Honors

INDIANAPOLIS (March 20, 2024) – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its 2023-24 NABC Division I All-District Teams and Coaches of the Year this week. Five #HLMBB student-athletes were named to District 12 Teams while Oakland head coach Greg Kampe was selected the District 12 Coach of the Year.

  • Green Bay’s Noah Reynolds, Oakland’s Trey Townsend and Wright State’s Trey Calvin were named to the District 12 First Team while Cleveland State’s Tristan Enaruna and Northern Kentucky’s Marques Warrick earned Second Team honors.
  • Kampe is in his 40th season at Oakland and led the program to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011 along with #HLMBB regular season and postseason titles.
  • Reynolds is just the third player in Phoenix history to receive NABC All-District honors, and first since Green Bay's transition to Division I.
  • Reynolds finished the season averaging 20.0 points (eighth-highest mark in a single season in GB history), 4.5 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game.
  • With Townsend's recognition, the Golden Grizzlies have had 13 NABC All-District selections since 2009.
  • Townsend leads the Golden Grizzlies with 16.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists this season while shooting 45.7 percent and earned Valeo MVP honors at the 2024 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship after he dropped 38 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out five assists in 40 minutes of court time in the final game.
  • Calvin finished his final campaign averaging 19.6 points per game, the sixth-most in the Horizon and a Top 50 mark nationally while shooting 48.2 percent overall.
  • Calvin reached the 2,000-point milestone on Feb. 8 against Detroit Mercy and finishes his career with 2,139 points as the No. 2 all-time leading scorer in Wright State history.
  • Enaruna finished the regular season and Barbasol #HLMBB championship portion of the schedule averaging 19.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He is shooting 49 percent from the field and 71 percent from the free throw line.
  • Warrick became NKU’s all-time leading scorer this season and finished the season with 2,246 career points, averaging 19.9 points per game in 2023-24.
