INDIANAPOLIS (March 20, 2024) – #HLWBB champion Green Bay will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, for an NCAA Tournament first round matchup with No. 6 seed Tennessee while Purdue Fort Wayne and Cleveland State also gear up for postseason play this week.

Green Bay
  • Green Bay will make their 19th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2018.
  • The Phoenix earned their 17th League championship victory this season, the most in Horizon League history
  • Tournament MVP Natalie McNeal led all scorers in the game with a season-high 32 points on 15-for-21 shooting. She is the team’s leading scorer this season with 13.4 points per game.
  • Green Bay led the League in All-League selections with three — McNeal, Maddy Schreiber and Bailey Butler. Callie Genke earned #HLWBB Sixth Player of the Year honors.
  • Head coach Kevin Borseth enters the game with 821 career wins, 596 at the Division I level.
  • The Phoenix has two wins over AP Top-25 ranked teams this season, defeated then No. 22 Creighton and No. 23 Washington State over a nine-day period in November.
  • Green Bay will face Tennessee for the third time ever, the last time resulting in a narrow 59-53 win for the Volunteers in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
 
Purdue Fort Wayne
  • Purdue Fort Wayne eclipsed 20 wins in the regular season for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
  • Amellia Bromenschenkel leads the ‘Dons in scoring this season with 13.3 points per game.
  • The Mastodons received two All-League selections (Bromenschenkel and Shayla Sellers) and two All-Freshman Team selections (Renna Schwieterman and Erin Woodson) this season.
  • The Mastodons face the Colonels for the third time ever, their last meeting in 2016.
 
Cleveland State
  • Cleveland State claimed their first regular season title this season under #HLWBB Coach of the Year Chris Kielsmeier.
  • The Vikings are led by #HLWBB Newcomer of the Year Mickayla Perdue (16.9 points per game) and #HLWBB Player of the Year Colbi Maples (16.8 points per game).
  • Cleveland State has two All-League First Team selections (Maples and Perdue) and two All-Defensive Team selections (Maples and Carmen Villalobos).
  • The Vikings are 9-18 all-time against Toledo.
