INDIANAPOLIS (March 5, 2024) – Oakland collected the #HLMBB regular season title in the final week of the regular season while Youngstown State, Green Bay and Wright State also secured top four seeds. The
2024 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship begins on Tuesday with three first round battles followed by four quarterfinals on Thursday for an opportunity to advance to Indy for next week’s semifinals.

#HLMBB DIG DEEPER
- #HLMBB Player of the Year Trey Townsend averaged 16.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in League play to lead the Golden Grizzlies while All-League Second Team selection Blake Lampman added 15.6 points and 3.5 assists and Sixth Man of the Year Jack Gohlke chipped in 12.0 points. Lampman and Gohlke led the League in three-point field goals per game.
- No. 2 seed Youngstown State led the League in opponent field goal percentage (42.6), team free throw percentage (78.5) and blocked shots (4.9 per game) during #HLMBB contests. All-League Second Team honoree DJ Burns paced the League with 11.8 rebounds per #HLMBB game while All-Freshman and All-Defensive Team selection Gabe Dynes led the way with 2.9 blocks per contest.
- #HLMBB Newcomer of the Year Noah Reynolds averaged 21.4 points per game in League play, scoring 30+ five times and shooting 52.5 percent from the floor. The Phoenix ranked first in #HLMBB play in scoring defense (69.4) and opponent three-point field goal percentage (29.0).
- Wright State was the top offense in #HLMBB play, posting 88.2 points per game and shooting 53.9 percent from the floor and 40.3 percent from three-point range. All-League First Team member Trey Calvin led the Raiders with 18.8 points per game while Second Team honoree Brandon Noel added15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds.
- All-League First Team selection Marques Warrick led the Norse with 21.4 points per game in #HLMBB action, closing out the regular season with 39 points at Wright State on Saturday. Defensive Player of the Year Trey Robinson paced the League with 2.2 steals per League game.
- Milwaukee ranked first in the League with 39.4 rebounds per #HLMBB game. All-League Second Team member BJ Freeman led the Panthers with 20.6 points per League contest, adding 7.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
- All-League First Team honoree Tristan Enaruna posted 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists for Cleveland State in #HLMBB action.
- All-League Third Team member Jalen Jackson led the Mastodons with 17.6 points per League game while fellow Third Team selection Rasheed Bello added 15.l points per game.
- RMU’s Markeese Hastings paced RMU with 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in #HLMBB play, earning Third Team accolades.
- IUPUI’s Jlynn Counter ranked fifth in the League with 1.8 steals per game while leading the Jags with 13.4 points per game in #HLMBB contests.
- Jayden Stone led the League with 21.8 points per #HLMBB game, playing a League-high 38.0 minutes per game for Detroit Mercy.
