#HLWBB DIG DEEPER
- Cleveland State Ends Regular Season Red-Hot
- The Vikings finished the 2023-24 regular season with a nine-game winning streak, two of them coming on the road against Youngstown State and at home versus Northern Kentucky last week. #HLWBB Player of the Year Colbi Maples, #HLWBB Newcomer of the Year Mickayla Perdue, and #HLWBB All-Academic Team selection Sara Guerreiro all put up big numbers in the two victories, averaging 52.5 points per game as a trio.
- Norse Cruise to Victory Behind 31 from Blevins
- Northern Kentucky earned a big 76-52 win over RMU on February 27, thanks in large part to a career-night from Macey Blevins. Blevins poured in a career-high 31 points, shooting 9-17 from the field, 4-9 from three, and 9-10 from the free throw line. #HLWBB Freshman of the Year Carter McCray put her stamp on the game as well, adding in an 18 point-12 rebound double-double.
- Golden Grizzlies Come Out on Top in Double Overtime
- Linda van Schaik’s 31 points led Oakland to an 84-82 double overtime win over Wright State on Thursday. The Golden Grizzlies got it done by driving the ball into the paint, outscoring the Raiders 62-42 down low. Oakland also capitalized off Wright State turnovers, scoring 25 points off takeaways.
- Titans Take Down Jaguars in Close Battle
- Detroit Mercy earned a gritty home win over IUPUI on Thursday. #HLWBB All-League Third Team selection Irene Murua led the Titans in scoring with 22 points. Emma Trawally Porta reached double-digits too, scoring 13 points, followed by Myonna Hooper with 11 points and #HLWBB All-Freshman Team selection Paris Gilmore with 10 points.
- Jaguars Put on Offensive Show in Saturday Win
- IUPUI put up 90+ points for the second time this season in their 92-71 victory over against Oakland on Saturday. The Jaguars saved their best shooting performance for last, posting a season-best 61% from the field and 63% from three in the game. Four players reached double figures, with Jazmyn Turner recording 23 points on a highly efficient 10-11 shooting. #HLWBB All-League Second Team selection Katie Davidson added 21 points, Jaela Johnson scored 15 points and Tahlia Walton finished with 12 points.
- Milwaukee Spoils Green Bay’s Perfect Home Record
- On Saturday, the Panthers did what no other team has done this season: exit the Kress Center with a win. 25 points from #HLWBB Player of the Week Kamy Peppler and 17 from Angie Cera led the way for a 65-61 win against the Phoenix. Both Peppler and Cera hit clutch free throws late in the fourth quarter to give the Panthers the win.
- Mastodons Reach 20 Wins in Final Regular Season Game
- For the first time since the 2010-11 season, Purdue Fort Wayne ended their regular season with 20 wins, following a 73-64 win against Youngstown State. The Mastodons stuck to their guns — three-point shooting — by hitting over 10+ threes for the 13th time this season. They rank top-20 in the nation in three-pointers per game with 8.7. On senior day, senior Destinee Marshall led PFW in scoring with a career-high 22 points.
