Cleveland State, Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State Punch Tickets to Semifinals of 2024 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship
INDIANAPOLIS (March 7, 2024) – In the quarterfinals of the
2024 Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship, Cleveland State, Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State earned victories to advance to Monday’s semifinals in Indianapolis.

- No. 1 seed Cleveland State defeated No. 9 seed Northern Kentucky, 88-78.
- Cleveland State shot 59 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range in the win.
- Colbi Maples dropped a game-high 31 points, with Mickayla Perdue (24), Jordana Reisma (15) and Sara Guerreiro (10) also putting up double digits.
- Northern Kentucky’s Carter McCray led the Norse with 29 points and 14 rebounds.
- No. 2 seed Green Bay earned a decisive 94-57 win over No. 7 seed Youngstown State.
- The Phoenix scored at least 20 points in every quarter.
- Cassie Schiltz led the way in scoring for Green Bay with 16 points. Maddy Schreiber (15), Maren Westin (13), Callie Genke (11) and Bailey Butler (10) also scored in double figures.
- Shay-Lee Kirby put up a team-high 15 points for the Penguins.
- No. 3 seed Purdue Fort Wayne defended home court with a 66-35 victory over No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy.
- The Mastodons collected 15 steals and scored 20 points off turnovers.
- Audra Emmerson recorded a game-high 14 points and Destinee Marshall added 11 points on 5-7 shooting.
- Emma Trawally Porta posted 10 points and seven rebounds for the Titans.
- No. 4 seed Wright State battled past No. 5 Milwaukee, 70-60, at the Nutter Center.
- Wright State dished 15 assists on 22 made field goals.
- Alexis Hutchison paced the Raiders with 23 points, followed by 17 from Layne Ferrell and 11 from Cara VanKempen.
- Anna Lutz finished with 17 points and three blocks for Milwaukee.
- No. 1 seed Cleveland State will face No. 4 seed Wright State in the first semifinal matchup at noon ET on Monday.
- No. 2 seed Green Bay will take on No. 3 seed Purdue Fort Wayne in the second semifinal game at 2:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
- Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first three rounds of the Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship streamed on ESPN+ and the championship game broadcast on ESPNU.
