INDIANAPOLIS (October 30, 2025) – The 2025-26 season tips off next week for our 11 #HLWBB teams.

#HLWBB DIG DEEPER
  • 2024-25 Freshman of the Year, Sophia Gregory is back with the Penguins this season. She averaged 10.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for her freshman debut season.
  • Preseason Player of the Year Colbi Maples returns after a season-ending injury last year with the Vikings. Reigning Preseason Player of the Year from the second season straight, she ranked 3rd in points per game averaging 16.6 in the 2023-24 season.
  • Maddy Skorupski joins Green Bay from Oakland. Last season, Skorupski averaged 16.3 points, 3.1 assists and 2.8 steals per contest.
  • The Phoenix pick up Milwaukee transfer Kamy Peppler. Peppler averaged 9.3 points and 4.6 assists per game for the Panthers.
  • Green Bay returner, Jenna Guyer totaled 7.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the
  • There are two new head coaches in #HLWBB this season.
    • Kiefer Haffey takes over at Detroit Mercy while Keisha Newell takes the helm at Oakland.
  • Detroit Mercy’s Aaliyah McQueen posted 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds in 30 games for the Titans last season and earned a spot on the Preseason All-League First Team.
  • Preseason All-League First Team honoree Mya Meredith played 31 games for Northern Kentucky last season, averaging 10.7 points, 6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
  • The regular season starts on Monday, Nov. 3 with Horizon League play scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
  • The 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are scheduled to culminate at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis March 8-10 with the mantra #MarchStartsHere.
  • The 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship will air on ESPN2 for the second consecutive year.
