#HLMBB DIG DEEPER
- Imanuel Zorgvol led the Penguins with 18 points in the victory at Grand Canyon on Friday while Cris Carroll and Rontavious Blackshear added 14 points each and Andrew King contributed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. YSU made 12 three-pointers while holding GCU to 2-13 shooting from three-point range.
- RMU collected an overtime victory at Drake on Thursday, snapping the Bulldogs' 49-game non-conference home winning streak. Four Colonials scored in double figures in the victory led by double-doubles from Nikolaos Chitikoudis (18 points, 10 rebounds) and DeSean Goode (13 points, 10 rebounds). Ryan Prather Jr. dished out seven assists.
- In Milwaukee’s season-opening win over Hampton, Seth Hubbard paced the Panthers with 23 points while Faizon Fields and Stevie Elam chipped in 16 points each and Isaiah Dorceus added 11 points and six assists. Amar Augillard led MKE with 25 points in Monday’s win over Little Rock.
- Five Golden Grizzlies scored in double figures at Purdue on Friday. Ziare Wells posted strong numbers for Oakland in the contest with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Oakland is the first program to face back-to-back AP No. 1 teams in a season since Oklahoma in 1990.
- Dayan Nessah registered a career best 25 points at Loyola Chicago on the opening night of the season, adding 11 rebounds, three blocks and two assists to his final stat line. Josiah Harris scored 20 points for the Vikings in the three-point loss.
- DeAndre Craig Jr. averaged 17.3 points last week, shooting 61.3 percent with 2.33 steals per game for the Mastodons. The junior scored 18 at Grand Canyon, 18 at Ohio State and 16 vs. Dominican.
- Kael Robinson and Donovan Oday led the Norse with 14 points each at Tennessee on Saturday with Robinson adding a team-high eight rebounds.
- Wright State’s Michael Cooper led the Raiders with 17 points and four assists at California while teammate Dominic Pangonis and Michael Imariagbe also scored in double figures.
- Marcus Hall leads Green Bay with 18.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game through three games this season.
- IU Indy’s Matt Compas closed out the week with a season-high 25 points (11-20 FG), five steals and two rebounds off the bench at Butler.
- Detroit Mercy sophomore TJ Nadeau tallied a career-high 24 points at Notre Dame on Friday, shooting 9-14 from the floor and 6-11 from three-point range.
