INDIANAPOLIS (December 2, 2025) – The Horizon League made another major move today ahead of the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships, announcing the return of our KeyBank International Women’s Day Celebration.

NCAA VP of Men’s Basketball JoAn Scott, Bloombase Founder & CEO Sheri Fella and Indiana Sports Corp Chief of Staff & Strategy Sarah Myer will participate in the panel discussion. Local in-game host Olivia West will return to moderate the panel. KeyBank will again serve as the title sponsor of this year’s celebration after agreeing to a three-year extension of our partnership in 2024.

Why this matters: This incredible panel of leaders will be the focal point of our fifth annual KeyBank International Women’s Day Celebration between the women’s and men’s basketball championship games at the Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships on Tuesday, March 10. The 2025 KeyBank International Women’s Day Celebration brought together nearly 300 women leaders and allies from the Indianapolis community.

Major Voice:
KeyBank Central Indiana Market President Juan Gonzalez
“KeyBank is honored to once again celebrate the Horizon League’s International Women's Day Celebration as part of our commitment to empowering women and fostering inclusivity. By championing initiatives that elevate women’s voices and achievements, we’re not just honoring progress, we’re driving it forward to create stronger communities and limitless opportunities for all.”

Dig Deeper:
  • As the Vice President of Men’s Basketball, Scott’s responsibilities include oversight of the day-to-day operations of March Madness and the Final Four, including the 2026 Men’s Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium. In 2024, Scott was the recipient of The John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award which honors an international or national figure who has contributed greatly to the game of basketball. Outside of Enshrinement, it is the most prestigious award presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
  • As Founder and CEO of Bloombase, Fella partners with senior executives, ownership groups, and high growth teams to deliver transformational leadership experiences that move far beyond traditional training. Her work is known for going deep—into mindset, behavior, and the relational space leaders create around them—because that’s where real impact happens.
  • At Indiana Sports Corp, Myer provides strategic guidance and operational leadership to support the organization in fulfilling its mission of impacting the community through sports, while also leading on the recently announced 2050 Vision – the next statewide sports strategy to make Indiana the global epicenter of sport. Myer also most recently served as the Event Director of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming event in 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
  • After a challenge from Scott to do something significant to advance young women seeking to work in sports, Fella, Myer and former HL Commissioner Julie Roe Lach collaborated to develop a program that would develop over 100 women leaders in sports over the course of four years, starting with the 2026 Men’s Final Four and culminating with the 2029 Men’s Final Four (also in Indy). Fella, Myer and Roe Lach developed the W.E. ARE NEXT leadership program that is a year-long, effort bringing together 25 women already in the sports and entertainment space committed to taking the next step while lifting as they rise. This first cohort is aptly named the JoAn Scott cohort.
  • West has served as the in-game host for the Indiana Fever and Pacers since 2023 and has continued to use her voice in sport while joining the Indy Ignite during the team’s inaugural season while also working for Athletes Unlimited. She has also collaborated with Good Morning America, 23-11 Racing, and LIV Golf.
  • The 2026 International Women’s Day theme is #GivetoGain.
  • All attendees will receive tickets to the Barbasol Horizon League Women's and Men's Basketball Championship games, scheduled for noon and 7 p.m. ET, respectively, on Tuesday, March 10, inside the Corteva Coliseum.
  • The IWD Celebration will take place in the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion, located directly South of the Corteva Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.
  • Registration is now open here. Tickets to the event are free to attendees and include a cocktail hour and appetizers. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for food, beverages and networking prior to the panel beginning at 5:30 p.m.
