INDIANAPOLIS (February 20, 2025)Officially Human will host a “Build Your Officiating Brand” event at the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 11 in the Valeo Fan Zone at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.

Why this matters: The Horizon League was the first conference to partner with Officially Human and 2025 marks the sixth year the two organizations have collaborated around the basketball championships in Indianapolis.

Officially Human exists to restore respect to, and positive treatment of, sports officials through increased education and communication to all stakeholders (administrators, coaches, and fans).

Major Voice:
Officially Human Founder and CEO Brenda Hilton
“Officially Human appreciates the opportunity to once again be a part of the Barbasol Horizon League Championships. As social media becomes more prevalent in the officiating space, so do the brands of the officials, whether it be an officiating association or an individual. Officials are the backbone of sports, yet they often face unnecessary criticism. Noah Katz, the founder of The Umpire Channel, will join us to highlight the importance of building a strong and positive profile using social media as a force for good. By humanizing officials and showcasing their dedication, we hope to inspire the next generation to join the officiating community."
