INDIANAPOLIS (February 25, 2025) – As we enter the final week of the regular season, RMU has moved atop the #HLMBB standings with Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Milwaukee and Purdue Fort Wayne all within 1.5 games of the Colonials. The Vikings will battle at Wright State on ESPN2 Thursday night then close out the regular season on ESPN2 against Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon.

#HLMBB DIG DEEPER
  • RMU took possession of the top spot in the League standings with a pair of home wins this week. Kam Woods earned Under Armour #HLMBB Player of the Week honors on Monday after averaging 18.5 points, 10.0 assists and 9.0 rebounds per game. Alvaro Folgueiras added 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds this week along with his 12th double-double and Amarion Dickerson contributed 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in the 2-0 week. The Colonials can clinch at least a share of the regular season title with a victory on Thursday.
  • Cleveland State is the top scoring defense in the League, allowing just 66.2 points per game. Tahj Staveskie led the Vikings with 18.5 points per game this week, including 22 points at Detroit Mercy. Tevin Smith paces CSU with 13.6 points per game this season while Dylan Arnett chips in 7.2 rebounds per game.
  • Gabe Dynes helped the Penguins to a 1-1 record last week, averaging 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game. The sophomore leads the nation with 3.17 blocks per game this season while YSU ranks 11th as a team in blocks per game with 5.4.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne’s Jalen Jackson paces the League in scoring with 19.2 points per game. Teammate Rasheed Bello posted 19 points, eight assists, five 3-pointers, two rebounds and two steals, scoring his 1,000 points in his Division I career on Friday against Oakland. The Mastodons lead #HLMBB in scoring offense (82.2 points per game), three-point field goals made (10.6), turnover margin (5.79), assist/turnover ratio (1.52) and steals (8.86).
  • Milwaukee ranks second in the country in fastbreak points (17.21) and also leads the League in team rebounds per game (40.1), offensive rebounds per game (14.9) and rebounding margin (10.5). Themus Fulks leads the League with 5.8 assists per game while Jamichael Stillwell is among the national leaders in double-doubles (15), rebounds per game (10.8) and offensive rebounds per game (4.04).
  • Allen Mukeba averaged a double-double on the week for Oaklad with 21.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Mukeba paces the League in field goal percentage this season, shooting 56.4 percent from the floor.
  • Josh Dilling scored a season-high 28 points for Northern Kentucky against IU Indy on Sunday, including seven three-pointers.
  • Wright State’s Brandon Noel ranks second in the League in scoring, third in rebounding and fourth in field goal percentage, averaging 19.0 points and 8.1 rebounding while shooting 54.2 percent from the field. The Raiders lead the League in team field goal percentage (48.6), three-point field goal percentage (37.9) and team defensive rebounds per game (26.1).
  • IU Indy’s Paul Zilinskas paces #HLMBB in three-point field goal percentage (41.9) and three-point field goals per game (3.0) while ranking third in scoring with 17.9 points per game.
  • Detroit Mercy’s Orlando Lovejoy leads the League in minutes (35.6 per game) and is fourth in scoring with 16.6 points per game.
  • Marcus Hall led Green Bay with 22.5 points per game this week, posting 29 points at RMU on Friday. The Phoenix rank first among #HLMBB teams in free throw percentage (78.5).
  • The 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are scheduled to culminate at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis March 10-11 with the mantra #MarchStartsHere following on-campus action on March 4 and 6.
