2025 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship Bracket Set with Green Bay Earning No. 1 Seed and Regular Season Title

INDIANAPOLIS (March 1, 2025) – The
bracket for the
2025 Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship was released on Saturday following the completion of the regular season with Green Bay earning the regular season title and No. 1 seed with an overtime victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday.

- Green Bay posted a 19-1 League record, closing out the regular season with a 68-63 overtime victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday.
- The Phoenix enter the championship on a 19-game winning streak and will host their quarterfinal against the lowest-remaining seed after the first round at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 6.
- Purdue Fort Wayne enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed and will also host a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 6.
- The Mastodons finished the regular season with a League record of 18-2 and a 23-7 overall record.
- Thursday’s tip time may be changed following the determination of final seeding for the Barbasol Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship this evening.
- Cleveland State (14-6 HL) is the No. 3 seed and will host a quarterfinal at 5:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.
- RMU (10-10 HL) will be the No. 4 seed after a 73-57 win at Wright State on Saturday and will host No. 5 seed Northern Kentucky (8-12 HL) on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET in the quarterfinals.
- The Norse closed out the regular season with a 61-58 victory against Oakland to secure the first-round bye.
- In the opening round of the 2025 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship, No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy will host No. 11 seed Milwaukee, No. 10 seed Oakland will travel to No. 7 seed IU Indianapolis and No. 8 seed Wright State will host No. 9 seed Youngstown State.
- Contests at Detroit Mercy and IU Indianapolis are set to tip at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 4 and the first round matchup at Wright State will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
- Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first three rounds of the Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship streamed on ESPN+ and the championship game broadcast on ESPN2.
- The 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will culminate with the semifinal and championship games at the Corteva Coliseum March 10-11.
