2025 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship Bracket Revealed with RMU Capturing No. 1 Seed

INDIANAPOLIS (March 1, 2025) – The bracket for the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship was released on Saturday following the completion of the regular season with RMU securing the regular season title and No. 1 seed in the final week of action.

  • RMU finished with a 15-5 League record and is 23-8 overall this season after closing out the regular season with a road victory at IU Indianapolis on Thursday and extending its winning streak to seven games.
    • The Colonials will host their quarterfinal against the lowest-remaining seed at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 6.
  • Cleveland State enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed and will also host a quarterfinal at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 6.
    • The Vikings finished the regular season with a League record of 14-6 and a 20-11 overall record following a win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday.
  • Milwaukee (14-6 HL) earned the No. 3 seed and will host a quarterfinal contest at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Thursday.
    • The Panthers wrapped up the regular season with a home win over Detroit Mercy this afternoon.
  • Youngstown State (13-7 HL) will be the No. 4 seed and take on No. 5 seed Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at the Beeghly Center.
  • In the opening round of the 2025 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship, No. 6 seed Oakland will host No. 11 seed Green Bay, No. 10 seed Detroit Mercy will travel to No. 7 seed Northern Kentucky and No. 8 seed Wright State will welcome No. 9 seed IU Indianapolis.
    • First round contests in Michigan and Kentucky are set to tip at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 4 before the Raiders take on the Jaguars at 8 p.m. ET.
  • Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first round and quarterfinal games streamed on ESPN+. The first semifinal game in Indianapolis will be on ESPNU starting at 7 p.m. ET on March 10 followed by semifinal No. 2 on ESPN2 at 9:30 p.m. ET. The championship game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 11.
