RMU, Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Oakland Advance to 2025 Barbasol #HLMBB Semifinals

INDIANAPOLIS (March 6, 2025) – The
2025 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship continued on Thursday with Cleveland State, Oakland, RMU and Youngstown State picking up quarterfinal wins to advance to Indy for the semifinals.

- No. 1 seed RMU picked up an 83-62 win over No. 8 seed Wright State.
- Five Colonials scored in double figures led by 19 points from Kam Woods while Alvaro Folgueiras posted a double-double.
- RMU scored 25 points off 16 WSU turnovers.
- Brandon Noel and Michael Imariagbe posted 15 points each for the Raiders.
- The Colonials will battle Oakland in the first semifinal on Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
- No. 2 seed Cleveland State earned a five-point win against No. 7 seed NKU.
- The Vikings outscored the Norse, 42-24, in the paint.
- Dylan Arnett posted a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double for CSU and Tevin Smith added 16 points.
- LJ Wells recorded a double-double for the Norse and Dan Gherezgher scored 18.
- CSU will face Youngstown State at 9:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
- No. 4 seed Youngstown State outlasted No. 5 seed Purdue Fort Wayne, 72-67.
- The Penguins shot 48.15 percent from the field in the second half with five three-pointers.
- Nico Galette totaled 22 points and 10 rebounds for YSU while Ty Harper scored 20 points and Cris Carroll also posted a double-double.
- Quinton Morton-Robertson led the Mastodons with 21 points and Jalen Jackson added a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
- Youngstown State will play Cleveland State in Monday’s second semifinal.
- No. 6 seed Oakland upset No. 3 seed Milwaukee in a rematch of last season’s Barbasol #HLMBB Championship Game.
- The Golden Grizzlies shot 38.9 percent from three-point range with seven three-point field goals.
- Allen Mukeba scored 21 points and Tuburu Naivalurua contributed 20 points for Oakland.
- Four MKE players scored in double figures led by 20 points and six assists from Themus Fulks.
- Oakland moves on to take on top-seeded RMU in Monday’s first semifinal.
- The first semifinal game in Indianapolis will be on ESPNU starting at 7 p.m. ET on March 10 followed by semifinal No. 2 on ESPN2 at 9:30 p.m. ET. The championship game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 11.
- The 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will culminate with the semifinal and championship games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum March 10-11.
