INDIANAPOLIS (March 6, 2025) – The 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship continued on Thursday with Cleveland State, Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne and RMU earning victories to advance to Monday’s semifinals.

  • No. 1 seed Green Bay cruised to an 84-55 victory over No. 10 seed Oakland.
    • The Phoenix totaled 48 points in the paint.
    • Maddy Schreiber led GB with 21 points while Natalie McNeal added 14 points.
    • Dani Grim paced the Golden Grizzlies with 18 points.
    • Green Bay will take on RMU in Monday’s first semifinal at noon ET.
  • No. 2 seed Purdue Fort Wayne outlasted No. 8 seed Wright State, 64-50.
    • The Mastodon defense held the Raiders to 15.38 percent shooting in the final ten minutes.
    • Amellia Bromenschenkel scored 15 points to lead PFW offensively, adding five rebounds.
    • Amaya Staton posted another double-double for the Raiders with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
    • The Mastodons will play Cleveland State in our second semifinal on Monday.
  • No. 3 seed Cleveland State posted a 92-61 win over No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy.
    • The Vikings shot 57.1 percent from the floor in the win with 52 points in the paint.
    • Mickayla Perdue posted 24 points while four other CSU players scored in double figures.
    • Emaia O’Brien scored 22 for the Titans in the loss.
    • CSU will battle Purdue Fort Wayne at 2:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
  • No. 4 seed RMU advanced to the semifinals with a 70-57 victory over No. 5 seed NKU.
    • Noa Givon led the Colonials with 23 points on 10-18 shooting.
    • RMU outscored the Norse by nine points in a critical third quarter.
    • Halle Idowu scored 15 points to pace NKU.
    • The Colonials will face top-seeded Green Bay in Monday’s first semifinal.
  • Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first three rounds of the Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship streamed on ESPN+ and the championship game broadcast on ESPN2.
  • The 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will culminate with the semifinal and championship games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum March 10-11.
