INDIANAPOLIS (March 9, 2025) – The semifinals are set with the top four seeds as Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne, Cleveland State and RMU all battling for a spot in the Barbasol Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship game.

  • No. 1 seed Green Bay
    • Top-seeded Green Bay defeated No. 10 seed Oakland 84-55 on Thursday to advance to its fourth-consecutive semifinals appearance. Maddy Schreiber led the way with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
    • The Phoenix come to Indianapolis riding a 20-game winning streak — the third-longest streak in Division I — and a regular-season title under first-year coach Kayla Karius.
    • During #HLWBB play, Bailey Butler was the League leader in assists (5.7 per game) while Green Bay as a team also paced the League with 18.9 per contest.
    • The Phoenix won both matchups versus the Colonials during the regular season. McNeal averaged 17.5 points in the two wins.
  • No. 2 seed Purdue Fort Wayne
    • No. 2 seed Purdue Fort Wayne won 64-50 over No. 10 seed Wright State on Thursday behind 15 points from Amellia Bromenschenkel to reach its third-straight semifinal round.
    • The Mastodons averaged 73.4 points per game in #HLWBB play this season, the most by any team. They also led the League in assist-to-turnover ratio (6.20).
    • Lauren Ross leads the League and the nation in three-point percentage this season with a clip of 47.5%. Her 94.4% from the free throw line is also second-best nationally.
    • Purdue Fort Wayne and Cleveland State split their regular season series 1-1. The Mastodons won their first meeting on January 12 on the road, 78-75, with a go-ahead three-pointer from Ross.
  • No. 3 seed Cleveland State
    • No. 3 seed Cleveland State earned a 92-61 victory against No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy on Thursday to move on to the semifinals for the sixth-consecutive time. Mickayla Perdue paced the Vikings with a game-high 24 points.
    • In League play this season, the Vikings ranked tied for first in field goal percentage (45.7%) and led all teams in rebounds per game (37.5).
    • Jordana Reisma is one of the most efficient scorers in the nation, ranking third in the nation in field goal percentage with a clip of 67.16% this season.
    • In the Vikings’ most recent matchup with Purdue Fort Wayne, Cleveland State outscored the Mastodons 23-13 in the fourth quarter to win 61-52 on February 15, ending what was a 17-game winning streak for PFW.
  • No. 4 seed RMU
    • Following a 70-57 win versus Northern Kentucky on Thursday, the Colonials make their way to Indianapolis for the first time in program history. Noa Givon led all scorers with 23 points.
    • Givon is the leading scorer for RMU this season, averaging 10.0 points in League play this season. Over the last three games, she has averaged 19.3 points on 61% from the field, 41% from three and 88% from the free throw line.
    • The Colonials are one of the better rebounding teams in the League, tying for second in rebounds per game (35.9) and first in offensive rebounds per game (10.9). RMU also leads the HL in blocked shots per contest with 3.9.
    • Micah O’Dell scored a team-high 13 points against the Phoenix in their meeting on January 11 while Jennica Suggs and Isys Grady both led with six points in the second game of the regular season series on February 8.
