RMU Captures First #HLSB Title

CLEVELAND, OHIO (May 10, 2025) – The 2025 #HLSB Championship wrapped up on Saturday with RMU earning its first League title with a 4-2 walk-off win over Purdue Fort Wayne.

- The Colonials struck first in the opening inning with a solo home run from Courtney Poulich.
- With two out in the top of the seventh inning, Grace Hollopeter notched her championship record tying 12th hit of the week for Purdue Fort Wayne to drive in two runs and give the Mastodons a 2-1 lead.
- RMU’s Sequoia Dunlap tied it up in the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run to send us into extra innings.
- In the eighth, freshman Mary Brant delivered a two-run shot to send the Colonials to the NCAA Tournament.
- Madison DeVault won her third game of the tournament in the circle, allowing two earned runs and just four hits.
