Horizon League Releases 2025 Valeo #HLBASE All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS (May 14, 2025) - Recognizing student-athletes for their success both in competition and in the classroom, the Horizon League released our 2025 Valeo Baseball All-Academic Team on Wednesday.

  • A total of 14 student-athletes were named to the All-Academic Team while an additional six student-athletes earned Honorable Mentions in balloting by the League’s faculty athletics representatives.
  • The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports.
  • The 2025 Valeo #HLBASE All-Academic Team is comprised of student-athletes from five League institutions.
    • Five student-athletes represent Milwaukee, including three on the All-Academic Team.
  • To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team’s overall contests.
    • An exception is made for baseball and softball, as pitchers must participate in 20 percent of the team’s overall games.
    • An Honorable Mention is awarded to student-athletes who received at least 25 percent of votes, but did not make the All-Academic Team.
