Wright State Wins 2025 #HLBASE Championship

DAYTON, OHIO (May 24, 2025) – For the 11
th time in program history, the Wright State Raiders earned the #HLBASE title, winning two games on Saturday over the Milwaukee Panthers.

- No. 1 seed Wright State defeats No. 3 seed Milwaukee, 13-4, in the first game of the day.
- Wright State’s Patrick Fultz started things off with a home run in the top of the first.
- A single by Milwaukee’s Caden Headlee brought in the tying run heading into the second inning.
- From there, the Raiders allowed just three runs while putting 12 more runs on the board.
- Fultz ended the day going 5-for-5 with three RBIs and a home run.
- Panther second baseman Tyler Bickers went 3-for-5 with a triple.
- Raiders pitcher Chet Lax was awarded the win, going eight innings with seven strikeouts.
- In the second and final game, Wright State claimed the 2-0 victory over Milwaukee for the #HLBASE crown.
- A sac-fly by JP Peltier gave the Raiders the early lead in the first inning.
- Patrick Fultz ripped a single to right field, scoring Conlan Daniels and give Wright State an insurance run.
- Jarrett Heilman earned the win in a shutout for the Raiders, pitching 5.1 innings with six strikeouts.
- J.J. Thompson got the save with five strikeouts in the final 3.2 innings.
- Wright State punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
- The Raiders will await their NCAA matchup during the Selection Show, scheduled for Monday, May 26 at noon ET on ESPN2.
