2025 #HLSB Championship Bracket Revealed with Cleveland State Earning Top Seed

INDIANAPOLIS (May 3, 2025) – The
bracket for the
2025 Horizon League Softball Championship was released on Saturday following the completion of the regular season. Cleveland State will host the championship after securing the regular season title and No. 1 seed.

- Cleveland State finished the regular season with a 17-7 #HLSB record and is 22-19 overall after wrapping up League play with a doubleheader split at Oakland on Saturday.
- The Vikings will take on the winner of game one at noon ET on Thursday, May 8.
- RMU enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed after recording a 16-7 League record.
- The Colonials open the championship at 2:30 p.m. ET on Thursday against the winner of game two.
- IU Indianapolis (15-9 HL) earned the No. 3 seed after a series sweep over Detroit Mercy to finish the regular season.
- The Jaguars will battle No. 6 seed Green Bay (10-14 HL) in our second game on Wednesday, May 7.
- IU Indy collected a 2-1 series victory against the Phoenix last month.
- Purdue Fort Wayne (14-10 HL) will be the No. 4 seed and take on No. 5 seed Northern Kentucky (12-10 HL) in the opening game of the championship at noon ET on Wednesday.
- The Mastodons picked up a 3-0 series sweep over the Norse in April.
