INDIANAPOLIS (January 27, 2026) – Purdue Fort Wayne’s Sam Dunnett and Lillian Hurd, Wright State’s Thomas Cook and Milwaukee’s Anna Szepieniec have all earned this week’s #HLTF honors.

Won the 3000m at the Notre Dame Invitational
Time of 8:19.26 broke the school record and sits as the best in the Horizon League
Mile time of 4:04.76 also broke a school record and tops the Horizon League

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK | LILLIAN HURD | PURDUE FORT WAYNE | SOPHOMORE | COLUMBUS, OHIO

Broke the 200m dash school record at the Crossroads of America meet
Her time of 24.56 sits behind only her own converted time from the Mastodon Invitational in the Horizon League
Also ran a 7.82 60m dash at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds

MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK | THOMAS COOK | WRIGHT STATE | FRESHMAN | SPRINGBORO, OHIO

Won the men's high jump at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic in a school record clearance of 2.11 meters (6'11")
His clearance also set a new meet record
Currently sits at the top of the Horizon League and is tied for 41^st on the NCAA Qualifying List

WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK | ANNA SZEPIENIEC | MILWAUKEE | JUNIOR | DEFOREST, WIS.

Took first in the premier long jump at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational
5.94m outing won the event by 0.28m
Currently holds first and second place in the League with a 6.30m clearance
