INDIANAPOLIS (March 4, 2026) – The 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships continued on Wednesday with No. 1 seed Wright State, No. 2 seed RMU, No. 3 seed Detroit Mercy and No. 7 seed Northern Kentucky collecting wins in the First Round to join Green Bay in Indianapolis.

  • Top-seeded Wright State earned a 90-61 win over No. 10 Cleveland State.
    • Kellen Pickett led the Raiders with 18 points while Michael Cooper scored 17 points and TJ Burch and Michael Imariagbe added 16 points each.
    • The Raiders shot 55 percent from the floor with 56 points in the paint while holding the Vikings to a field goal percentage of 34 percent.
    • Ryan Preist led CSU with 15 points.
    • Wright State will play the winner of the Second Round contest in our first semifinal on Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
  • No. 2 seed RMU collected a 15-point home victory over No. 9 seed Youngstown State.
    • Ryan Prather Jr. scored 24 points for the Colonials and DeSean Goode added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
    • RMU made 10 three-pointers and held the Penguins to 6-27 shooting from beyond the arc.
    • Vlad Salaridze paced YSU with 18 points.
    • RMU will take on Detroit Mercy in Monday’s second semifinal at 9:30 p.m. ET.
  • No. 3 seed Detroit Mercy won 84-63 against No. 8 seed Milwaukee at Calihan Hall.
    • Five Titans scored in double figures paced by TJ Nadeau with 17.
    • Detroit Mercy shot 54 percent from the field while holding the Panthers to 23 percent from three-point range and 37 percent overall.
    • Sekou Konneh posted 13 points for MKE.
    • DET will battle RMU at 9:30 p.m. ET on Monday night.
  • No. 7 seed Northern Kentucky picked up a one-point road victory at No. 4 seed Oakland.
    • LJ Wells posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Donovan Oday scored 19 for the Norse.
    • NKU committed just eight turnovers with 19 assists.
    • Brody Robinson scored 36 points for the Golden Grizzlies.
    • The Norse will play Green Bay in Sunday’s Second Round at 3:30 p.m. ET.
