INDIANAPOLIS (September 14, 2026) – Wright State’s Cairo Duarte and NIU’s Tomasz Slawek secured this week’s #HLMSOC weekly awards.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | CAIRO DUARTE | WRIGHT STATE | FRESHMAN | FORWARD | BELO HORIZONTE, BRAZIL
- Led Wright State to a 2-0 start to League play, tallying four points on the week
- Recorded one goal in a 3-2 victory at Milwaukee
- Scored the go-ahead goal in the 69th minute of a 3-1 win vs. Green Bay
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | TOMASZ SLAWEK | NIU | R-JUNIOR | DEFENDER | CRYSTAL LAKE, ILL.
- Anchored an NIU defense that held Oakland to four shots on goal in a 1-1 draw and limited IU Indy to three shots on goal in a 2-0 shutout victory
- Played all 180 minutes across NIU’s first two League matches
- Scored a goal in the 2-0 victory over IU Indy
