Chris (Halstead) Neuman has played a vital role in the Horizon League’s growth and success and began serving as Interim Commissioner on December 1, 2025.
While serving as Chief Operating Officer, she led competition (championships and regular season), sponsorship, community partnerships and internal operations.
A former softball student-athlete at Valparaiso University, Chris brings firsthand experience and a business mind—earning her MBA at the University of Indianapolis, while rising through the League. She is a proud alum of Bloombase’s Advanced Women Leaders experience. Her leadership continues to elevate the League’s operations and amplify the voices of women in college athletics. She and her family live in Indianapolis.
